PROFESSIONAL DIALUX DESIGN
With the commercial release of highly efficient ECO-Friendly LED Lighting around 1995, the demand for Professional LED Lighting Design Services has increased dramatically. All too often when carefully observing Light Levels it's common to see areas either UNDER LIT or OVER LIT where both have an impact on Human Response and Behaviour. So the first step is we need to know the International Light Standards, secondly, you need to collect Key Site Data, thirdly select the right LED Fitting and get IES Files, fourthly conduct a DIALUX Analysis and lastly after adjusting results for Adjust for S/P Ratio - issue your REPORT.
INTERNATIONAL LIGHTING STANDARDS
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
DESIGNING LIGHTING ZONES
DIALUX is industry-standard Lighting Design Software from Europe and is used by nearly all Light Design Architects globally to design both Indoor and Outdoor lighting. This software enables the input of key Site data elements against International Models (Like for Stadiums and Sports Arenas) the visualization of projected Lighting Results and the production of Industry Standard REPORTS.
In summary, the steps required to conduct a successful Lighting Design Project include the following:
- Collect Key Site Data,
- Select the appropriate LED Fittings,
- Select the required LED Color Temperature,
- Contact Manufacturer and get IES Files,
- Input all Data into DIALUX Software and Adjust Layout Points to Get Required Results against International Standards,
- Apply S/P Ratio and adjust LUX Results,
- Compile and issue Customer Lighting Report.
